GD and Bivio partner to deliver innovative defenses against cyber-threats

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, a principal contractor to defense, intelligence and homeland security customers, and Bivio Networks, a provider of network systems for securing, monitoring and controlling critical network infrastructure, announced on August 16 a strategic partnership to deliver an array of scalable, resilient and innovative cyber-security solutions for both the public and private sectors.

"In our heavily networked world, cyber attacks represent a constant threat to both government systems and the critical networks we depend on for banking, communicating and powering our economy," said Nadia Short, vice president and general manager of the cyber division at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems. "Our customers will greatly benefit from General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems' and Bivio Networks' complementary expertise in designing and integrating proven solutions that defend large enterprise and national networks."

Through the partnership, the two companies will offer enhanced network security solutions that integrate the most up-to-date cyber-security products and technologies to deliver situation awareness, allowing enterprises to proactively address cyber-threats in real-time.

"With malicious cyber activity on the rise, the ability to act on secure, real-time communications is vital for agencies to make timely and accurate decisions in support of mission-critical operations," said Dr. Elan Amir, president and CEO of Bivio Networks. "This partnership combines Bivio's expertise in developing advanced cyber security networking systems with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems' leading capabilities in designing and deploying solutions in mission critical environments to further address the federal government's unique security demands."

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems and Bivio Networks have previously collaborated on federal agency cyber and network security deployments.

Bivio's global customer base includes worldwide government agencies and service providers. Its product suite enables its customers and partners, which include application developers and systems integrators, to develop and deploy leading solutions to secure, monitor and control customer networks.

Bivio is privately held and headquartered in the San Francisco Bay area with office locations worldwide. General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics Corp.
