Hawk Network Defense, of Dallas, TX, announced in June that Tim Shelton - Hawk Network Defense’s vice president of research and development - has been selected to speak at the Black Hat USA 2010 Briefings that will take place at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV, on July 28-29.
Tim Shelton will talk about the advanced AIX heap exploitation methods, as this operating system has been a highly valued target for hackers over the past ten years. “Many of the largest enterprises in the world run their businesses on AIX systems,” stated AIX reseller Phil Godwin, the vice president of sales and marketing at Clear Technologies. “As a result, it is imperative that security gaps on these systems be mitigated.”
Shelton’s presentation will illustrate the security risks that could potentially halt the productivity of targeted companies. He will introduce Heap Exploitation Methods to limit future exposure.
Black Hat USA brings together security experts from the corporate and government sectors as well as the academics and researchers.
