TechRadium sweeps US contracts

Over the past two weeks TechRadium, Inc. of Sugarland, TX – a provider of high-speed communication services to educational institutions, corporations, non-profits and government entities worldwide – has obtained two contracts for its patented IRIS (Immediate Response Information System) technology. The Northeast Kansas Regional Homeland Security Council and Southwest Missouri’s Region D have contracted the company to provide mass notification systems for 23 counties in Kansas and another 16 in Missouri.
The IRIS sends messages from a single source to an unlimited number of recipients using various communication devices including landlines, cell phones, email, text messaging and voice mail, as well as other media. IRIS has been deployed successfully in emergency situations, including hurricanes, forest fires and police situations requiring school lockdowns. IRIS also has a real-time, comprehensive reporting tool, an assessment tool to gather survey response data and an instant conference call bridge to gather necessary parties for immediate action.
“TechRadium is pleased IRIS has been chosen for this important task, supplying and protecting homeland security communications under both emergency and non-emergency conditions,” said Ryan Rodkey, chairman and chief executive officer of TechRadium.
In Kansas, the system is being set up for homeland security personnel, but residents will be able to opt-into the program by going to their individual county website and entering their contact information in order to sign up for IRIS. In Missouri the system will be deployed for fire and police departments, sheriff’s offices, municipal and county officials, hospitals and schools.
“This is a major communications enhancement, both for the people and emergency service providers of Southwest Missouri. IRIS will now be serving a large geographical area… and we can pinpoint any area or recipient with our technology,” said Rodkey added.
