In recent weeks Clovis, CA-based Pelco Inc.’s management has announced several internal operational changes that, the company says, are part of an “invigorated” commitment to technology innovation, reduced time to market, customer satisfaction and product quality.
The changes, as described in a Pelco statement, follow:
In the area of technology innovation, company management has appointed Greg Millar to the newly created position of chief technology officer. His mandate is to design the “future of video surveillance by helping to discover and develop emerging technologies.”
To bring product offerings quickly to market, Pelco management has moved to consolidate the engineering team under a single VP. That executive will be Ben Kimbell, who has accepted the position of vice president of engineering and product development. Kimbell will report directly to Pelco President and CEO Dean Meyer.
Additionally, as part of the reduced-time-to-markets initiative, Joel Larner has accepted the position of vice president, program management, responsible for program and project management, overall governance to process and procedures, and metrics management of the overall product development process, according to the statement.
The Pelco product support department, which focuses on new tools and capabilities for achieving customer satisfaction, is now under the leadership Joanne Weber-Fosnight, who has accepted the position of vice president, product support.
And finally, following the retirement of SVP Jim Brannan, the Pelco marketing department has been consolidated with sales under the leadership of Cliff Holtz, who will now serve as senior vice president of America sales and global marketing.
