Berkeley, CA-based Eutecus, Inc. has unveiled its new Bi-i V401X video analytics module, which implements Eutecus’ multi-core video analytics engine (MVE) on a single Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chip.
The Bi-i V401X is a self-contained, small-form factor reference design for rapid incorporation into IP cameras and other video security devices, the company says.
It also can serve as a stand-alone video analytics device, Eutecus adds, calling it “ideal” for implementing embedded video analytics capabilities.
The company characterizes the basis of the Bi-i V401X, Eutecus’ MVE, as an easily configurable, compact, high performance processing architecture enabling a complete video analytics solution on a single low-cost FPGA, the Spartan 3A DSP.
