ICx introduces ClearPoint bottled liquid screener

Arlington, VA-based ICx Technologies, Inc., has unveiled ClearPoint, the newest addition to its line of Fido explosives detectors. 

Designed for airport security checkpoints, Fido ClearPoint identifies suspicious liquids through their containers, the company says. 

ClearPoint makes it easy for containers of various sizes and shapes to be efficiently sampled without having to open them, and its technology is optimized to reduce false alarm rates and provide prompt, accurate identification of any suspicious liquids, according to ICx. 

TSA has deployed 200 ICx Fido PaxPoint handheld liquid screeners at 30 of the largest airports in the U.S., Colin Cumming, CEO of ICx Technologies, said in a statement. “We developed ClearPoint to augment the capabilities of PaxPoint and other security technologies, and to fit seamlessly into current processes at airport security lanes.”
