Avigilon creates EMEA managing director post

People - Vancouver, Canada-based Avigilon, the provider of high definition and megapixel video surveillance systems, has appointed Kim Långström to the newly created position of managing director for the company's EMEA operations.
Långström will be responsible for expanding Avigilon's presence throughout the region by developing the resources needed to address growing market demand and customer initiatives, according to a company statement.
Prior to joining Avigilon, Långström held the position of vice president at Mirasys, Ltd, the European provider of open platform IP and analog video surveillance systems. Formerly, he held the position of regional partner manager for QPR Software, a risk management and compliance solutions company.
The EMEA region consists of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
