GSN: Government Security News was founded in 2003 and is owned by World Business Media, LLC, whose editorial and advertising offices are located at 233 Spring Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10013, 212-344-0759.

The monthly print edition of GSN: Government Security News serves a BPA-audited circulation of 35,000 qualified recipients in the fields of physical, IT and homeland security. This audience includes federal, state and local officials, as well as integrators, contractors and suppliers who are similarly involved in homeland security.

Under the management of editor-in-chief Jacob Goodwin, GSN: Government Security News won two Gold Medals for its editorial commentary in 2006 from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE).

Under the management of founding publisher Ed Tyler, ad pages in GSN: Government Security News in 2007 increased by 20 percent over the previous year and surpassed the ad page totals of any other print publication focused mainly on the homeland security market.

A weekly e-newsletter, GSN: Homeland Security Insider, which is distributed to a rapidly growing audience of opt-in readers;

An e-mail blasting service, GSN Homeland Security Product of the Day service which is also distributed to a growing opt-in list of recipients who want information on new products and services.

A second e-mail broadcasting service, GSN White Paper of the Day, was launched in September of 2007.

GSN also recently announced the capability of producing informational Webinars in partnership with advertisers.

The print and online editions of GSN are the standard of editorial quality in the homeland security field and a rich source of news, analysis, interviews, new products and technologies in all aspects of homeland security, from access control and airport security to biometrics, border protection, disaster recovery, emergency preparedness, IT security, maritime and port security, rail security, security services, state and local governments and urban security.
